Some Public Health Department appointments now can be made on-line

Posted: Wed, Feb 17, 2010 5:00 PM

You will now be able to sign up on-line for an appointment with Winneshiek County Public Health Nursing Service for immunizations or Happy Feet Clinic appointments.

Public health officials say they have added a new feature to their website, www.winneshiekhealth.org, that will allow the public to log on any time of day to schedule appointments.

Click on "Sign Up For Clinic" tab on the right side menu of the website. That will take you to the Clinic Page. Choose the type of clinic that you need. On the next page, information about the individual clinic and a calendar with clinic dates will come into view. Only available appointments for that day will appear. Click on a time that will work for your schedule and then fill in the basic information. Items in bold are required. When you have completed the form, click on "Submit" and another page confirming your appointment will be available to print.
If you need to cancel an appointment for any reason, please call the Public Health office so they can remove your registration from the schedule.

If you encounter any problems with this process, please notify the staff at Winneshiek County Public Health so your difficulties may be resolved. The registration is completely protected and not available for others to see as required by HIPAA law.

For those clients of Winneshiek County Public Health Nursing Service that do not wish to register this way, there is still the option of calling Public Health's office at (563) 382-4662. Winneshiek County Public Health nurses are available to answer questions at any time during office hours.
