Decorah firefighters called to apartment fire

The Decorah Fire Department was called for an apartment fire Sunday morning at 404 Twin View Drive Apartment 4.

A volunteer firefighter, who lives across the street, noted the occupants of the apartment to be outside and smoke coming from the apartment. He entered the apartment and found fire coming from the oven. The fire was extinguished using a fire extinguisher. The smoke in the apartment was ventilated.

No injuries were reported. Minor smoke damage as well as fire damage to the stove was found. The Decorah Fire Department was assisted by the Decorah Police Department.
