Home energy assistance is available in Winneshiek County

Winneshiek County residents who need help in paying their home heating bills this winter can get financial assistance from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, at Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation.

LIHEAP assistance is based on annual income levels. Families of all sizes may apply. For example, a family of four with an annual income of $33,075 or less is eligible for assistance. Single Iowans with an annual gross income of $16,245 or less are also eligible.
