Update: County board reconsiders its vote on county subdivision road maintenance

The Winneshiek County Board has reversed its previous vote to stop accepting subdivision roads into the county road maintenance system. Supervisors John Logsdon and Steve Bouska, who voted in favor of the ordinance last week, this week voted to reconsider the vote. The reconsideration passed unanimously, at which time the county board voted against the current ordinance.
However, the vote does not necessarily mean county supervisors are dropping the issue. They will rewrite the ordinance, then hold a public hearing and three readings of the ordinance in the future.
