NICC Waukon to hold "Principles of Banking" class

Northeast Iowa Community College will offer a Principles of Banking course starting in February at the NICC Waukon Center. Bank of the West-Decorah manager Kent Kleckner will teach the class, which will run from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays from February 17th through May 26th.

The course is accredited by the American Institute of Banking (AIB). It will provide an introduction to the diversified services and operations of the banking industry. Topics covered include the history of banking, Federal Reserve functions, bank loans and deposits, teller functions, electronic banking, customer service and more.
