The Decorah Area Free Clinic has received an $800 donation from the Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic.
The money will be used to help the clinic continue operating. The Free Clinic has seen patient visits nearly double since opening in 2002.
In addition to financial support, Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic staff, such as physician assistant Sarah Dodge, Family Medicine, volunteer their time at the Free Clinic.
Says Dodge, "I feel it is important that everyone has access to health care. It takes the effort of many people to make the free clinic work including clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and others. It is amazing to see it all come together, and I feel fortunate to be able to be part of this effort."
